Sailor 2025: Process Re-design

As part of the US Naval Training Command’s modernization initiative dubbed ‘Sailor 2025’, Red Hills’ Principal Robin Colson led the effort to re-image the Navy’s classroom training model. The project combined representatives from cutting edge digital companies along with Navy instructors and recent trainees to analyze the current situation, the future needs of trainees, and possible digital solutions. The outcome was the design or a new hybrid approach to Naval training that includes both classroom training and digital training that, via smart technology, puts online learning, video, and FAQs in the hands of trainees and new graduates when they need it and where they need it on the decks of aircraft carriers, on nuclear submarines, and in other critical venues.
